TedsWoodworking Reviews was started by a small group of DIY hobbyists who kept running into the same problem: online reviews of woodworking resources were either written by the sellers themselves or by people who'd clearly never built anything. We wanted something different — honest, first-hand assessments from people who actually use these products in a real workshop.
Our focus is woodworking plans, courses, and tools for hobbyists and weekend builders. We don't cover every product in the market — we cover the ones our community actually asks about, and we cover them properly.
Our Editorial Standards
Every product we review is assessed on its own merits. We earn affiliate commissions on some products we recommend — this is disclosed prominently on every page. Our affiliate relationships never determine our conclusions. We have given honest assessments of products regardless of commission rate.
Meet the Team
James R.
James has been woodworking as a hobby for over 12 years. He started with a basic workbench and a borrowed drill and now runs a fully equipped workshop. He's reviewed over 20 woodworking plan libraries and courses, and his focus is always the same: does it actually help you build better things?
Mike K.
Mike is a semi-retired carpenter who now builds furniture as a hobby and sells pieces at local craft markets. He contributes practical, hands-on assessments of plans and tools from the perspective of someone who builds to sell.
